For those who have not lavished in the late summer of the Rocky Mountains, it is a godlike collision of warm weather and bursting golden trees. And in the middle of those famous mountain peaks, exists the town of Silverthorne. It was here that Peter and Anna chose to promise forever at the Silverthorne Pavilion.

But first, hold on, let’s rewind…

Like many Coloradans, enjoying live music and pints at a local brewery is a popular past time.  For Peter and Anna, it was much, much more than that. It was at the Diebolt Brewery in Denver where a mutual friend introduced these two adventurous and carefree individuals to each other. Let’s just say that this mutual friend deserves a cold brew after playing cupid!

Fast forward, and it is wedding day…

Anna glistened down the aisle in her sweetheart lined gown towards her groom. Peter stood under the arch, smiling ear to ear in his grey suit. The glorious Aspens stood tall above the guests reflecting the beauty of the day, the moment and the union on that September afternoon.

Shortly after, the guests congregated into the Silverthorne Pavilion reception hall while the couple took photos 🙂

Rewind one more time…

Remember how these two met at a brewery? That serendipitous night Anna and Peter met, The Gold Company band was playing at the brewery.

Fast forward again…

Since The Gold Company played witness to their introduction that one fateful night in Denver, Anna and Peter knew that they were meant to also play witness to their wedding day. Anna and Peter danced into marriage to the R&B and soul music that surrounded them from the beginning…

Now for a little Q&A with the couple:

When and how did you two meet?

We were introduced by a mutual friend at Diebolt Brewery

.

What is your favorite thing about each other?

Our similar sense of humor and willingness to try new adventures together!

How did he propose?

We had been going to a beer festival in Salida every year since we met, and he proposed at the Arkansas River.

How did you choose your venue for your day?

We wanted our wedding to be a vacation for everyone involved. We love the mountains and the Silverthorne Pavilion checked everything we wanted with an outside ceremony and a fun, open reception hall.

What was the inspiration behind your wedding day?

We weren’t sure which “theme” to go with but it ended up being a very romantic feel with navy blue and silver sparkly lights. We went with simple flowers and lanterns that turned out beautiful.

What is one thing you wish you had done for your wedding day?

One thing we wish we would have done is gotten a videographer.

What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?

Having a first look. We contemplated having one or not and we are both so happy we did it. It took a lot of the nerves away and we were able to have our own special moment together.

Any advice for future couples about planning for their wedding?

Do what YOU want to do! Have fun with it and don’t get too stressed out about small details.
