Where to begin with these two? Well, we met before they asked me to be their photographer. We instantly friends! We bonded over adventures, baby goats, wine and delicious waffles haha

Courtney and James decided to do their engagement session at sunrise at the stunning Piney River Ranch in Vail! I’ve been there for sunset, but sunrise was it’s own beautiful splendor. I began my drive up at 2am (sunrise was around 530am this time of year). Most of the drive from Vail is up a very dark, very muddy and rocky road, for it to open up into a beautiful valley, lake and stunning mountain views!

We hiked over to the lake and begin our session and had the most amazing morning, and even saw the resident moose! After our session, we went into town and decided that we all needed “friendship waffles” and it was a morning that my soul needed. Love these two and I’m so happy for them. Congrats!!!
