October 20, 2018
It was October 20th, when I gallivanted my way to the Omni Hotel in Boulder where I met up with the sweetest bride on her autumn wedding day. From the moment I met her, Kaitlin’s bubbly spirit was contagious. Not only was she all smiles as she stepped into her empire waist lace gown, but you could tell that everyone around her just soaked up her energy.
Nearby, David, her stoic and tender-hearted groom, was gushing about Kaitlin.
It’s gonna take a lot to drag me away from you There’s nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
These two had their first look under the beaming sun at a local popular trailhead. Let’s just say that the perfect October weather drew locals from all over Colorado that weekend. Luckily, we were able to beat the crowds at the NCAR Mesa Lab Trailhead as hikers were blazing the trails all around us.
After blushing and giggling their way through their first look, David and Kaitlin headed to the Crestview Church for their afternoon nuptials.
Once the guests were cheering their union, we all migrated to The Wedgewood in Boulder. Here, Kaitlin and David’s forest green and blush pink reception was prepped for a night of games, hysterical and touching speeches and a S’more’s bar! *Insert Heart Eyes Emoji*
It wasn’t without some adorable couples photos by the creek, under the fall tree canopy and twinkle lights!
Then to party in the reception with first dances, speeches and drinks 🙂
I bless the rains down in Africa Gonna take some time to do the things we never had (ooh, ooh)
Lastly, I know what you are thinking: “Kari, what’s with the Toto lyrics?”
Well, Kaitlin and David took note from my website (Link to About You page) that “Africa” is one of my favorite songs. And in the most sincere and kindest gesture, they requested this song during their reception. Bestttttttt ever!
We finished our evening with the s’mores bar (which is how EVERY evening should end!)
Congratulations Kaitlin and David!
