What more can I say about this couple, except that I was honored to be a part of their intimate wedding at Highland Haven Inn in Evergreen! I met Laura when I was still working a full time gig at a hospital. She was amazing to work with because she was there to help me whenever I needed and was a great friend. I will admit, I may have teared up when she asked me to shoot her wedding! Originally they were going to have a larger wedding! And then she called me one day to say they wanted it to be more intimate and they were going to elope in Evergreen just the two of them (plus me). No greater compliment to be included in such an event!

So we met up at Highland Haven Inn which is basically a huge treehouse on a river! It’s adorable and rustic, and the top floor has a hot tub room. YES! If it wouldn’t have been so awkward, I would have invited myself to stay haha

They two got ready together, until it was time for Laura to put on her dress. It was POURING rain and hail most of the morning, however, when it was time for their first look, it was meant to be! The sky opened up and the weather stopped! I set up Toby outside in the trees to wait for his bride-to-be. Laura came down and their first look was beyond sweet. We then trotted off to where they wanted to say their vows, along the river! I cried…the whole time. Thank goodness for autofocus haha

Following their vows we had a fun time with couples photos, signing of the marriage license, and then I joined them and their family for the most savory of dinners at the Willow Creek by Evergreen Lake House. What a beautiful day! Congrats to you two cutie patooties!
